Heard is built so that what you share stays with you. This policy explains exactly what the app does with information.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of ours. We do not collect, store, or receive any personal data about you. There is no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind, and we never sell or share personal data, because we never have it.

Artificial intelligence

The app does not use any third-party AI service, and nothing you say or type is ever sent to one. No OpenAI, no Google, no Anthropic, no cloud model of any kind. Grace's replies come either from lines written by us and stored in the app, or from an optional language model that you download once and that runs entirely on your device, offline. Her voice is generated on your device in the same way. Speech is turned into text on your device by Apple's on-device speech recognition. Your words never leave your phone.

Your conversations

Conversations with Grace exist only while they happen. They are not saved on your phone after you finish, and they are never sent to us or to any server. When you choose "Private AI", replies are generated entirely on your device. Speech is turned into text on your device.

What is stored on your phone

Only your settings, your prayer streak, your Bible Quest progress, and the daily reminder time. This stays on your device and is removed if you delete the app.

Downloads

Grace's voice and the Private AI are downloaded once from public hosting services (GitHub and Hugging Face). This is a one-way download of a file, the same as downloading any file from the web: those services can see your device's IP address, as any web server does. Nothing about you, and nothing you have said or typed, is sent with the request or at any other time.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). The app checks your subscription status with them directly on your device. We never see your payment details.

Notifications

Daily verse reminders are scheduled on your device. We do not run a notification server.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
